Baseball is awesome
Thanks to our friend Sarkis, we were able to go to the game. I love baseball and we have sat in these seats before (watching our financial interests much more closely than in the past) and today was no exception. This picture is of the celebration and then silence from Kendry Morales' grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning. We won, but he broke his ankle in the mob at home plate. No good...he'll be out, they are saying, for 10-12 weeks.

Pink elephants on parade
My husband bought this for me at Disneyland over a month ago because I got very excited when I saw it. It's so cute! I love elephants, I love Dumbo, and I love snowglobes (I have quite the collection). I finally got around to taking a picture of it this morning. And look! There is even a hidden Mickey.

Glass Figurines
These are a couple of my glass figurines. The little short one on the left is a turtle with a hat (?), the one on the right is an elephant (I love elephants) and the one in the middle is an angel. The light is so pretty when it sparkles through the glass.

Exercising
Today, we finally got the EA Sports Active. We also began our workouts today. It's fun and I am looking forward to exercising with this program. We both started with the 30-day challenge, so we will see how that goes. :-)

Comfy bed
This is our bed. Today was cleaning day and we finally got the bed back together like it is supposed to look. I am normally very anal when it comes to making my bed; during college I always made my bed, except for finals week. Lately, I have really slacked off in making it before leaving for work each morning. I need to get back into the habit. I love quilts and on the bed there are currently three. The top one was made for me by my mom's friend for my 15th birthday. She made it quickly because I had told my mom that I wanted a quilt from her only a week or so before my birthday. But it is perfect and wonderful.

Joben cat
This is Joben, my brother's kitty cat. He's cute, just a little crazy. Hubby and I went down to SD to visit my brother today. We saw the musical that he is playing in and it was really good. It was a youth production and they all did a great job. It was great hanging out with my brother and his girlfriend.

Last sunset
This was our last sunset we saw on the beach in Maui. Neither of us wanted to leave the next day and so we watched the entire sunset sitting on the beach, wrapped in each others arms. Our love is never ending, though our 1st anniversary vacation came to a close.

Hiking downhill is easier...
This is when we hiked down to a blowhole. It was very windy, almost blew over a few times. Hubby was taking wonderful pictures as well. Neither of us were ready for the hike, but we did it and it was great. The views were amazing and gorgeous.

First sunset
This was the first sunset we saw in Maui. It was taken from our balcony in the hotel; I just kept taking pictures the entire sunset. It was also super windy, as evident by the palm trees. But it was gorgeous.

Behind the trees
I was trying to be somewhat artistic with this picture. I was shooting out the window while hubby was driving. I think this shot came out quite nicely.

Waterfall jump
Waterfalls are so amazing. They are gorgeous, gigantic, majestic. This was one of the first waterfalls we hiked to on Maui. The guy at the top of the falls ended up jumping into the pool. That was an amusing ordeal, as his friends were egging him on and he was nervous about jumping. The water felt so nice and cool (I had put my feet in the stream). It was a fun adventure.

Skies so blue!
In honor of Mother's Day, I selected a picture of a gorgeous Hawaiian sky. My mom loves skies, loves to look at them and loves to look at pictures of them. I took a bunch of pictures of the skies of Maui while on vacation so that she could have them. Happy Mother's Day, Ma! :-)

Waterfall hike
This was an amazing waterfall. We followed the guidebook, Maui Revealed - The Ultimate Guidebook and hiked to this wonderful waterfall during our trip on the road to Hana. I am so incredibly happy that we did this hike. Neither of us have done much hiking in recent times, so we were sore the next day, but it was well worth the pain. We pretty much had the waterfall to ourselves (as opposed to the other, more popular, crowded waterfalls - which were still gorgeous), which was awesome. The hike was a little hard for us, as we were unprepared for such slippery rocks, but we didn't get too badly hurt. The water was so cool and refreshing.

Falling waves
I love this picture. I think I did a nice job of framing the wave and catching it as it fell. I love the colors of the ocean; so crisp and clear I could spend all day at a beach taking pictures of the water and waves (which I have done in the past and probably will forever continue to do). We drove around and stopped at different beaches one of the days we were on Maui, just taking pictures and having fun.

"Just keep swimming..."
That's me. In the hotel pool, swimming, as my husband took the picture. I love swimming. I grew up in a pool, at my aunt's house, my grandmother's condo complex, friends' houses. Everywhere. I love being in the water; it is so cool and refreshing. I need to get back into swimming more, as it is wonderful exercise. Most pictures on here do not feature me, as I am the one who needs practice on my form of photography, but I thought this picture was fun.

Drawings in the sand
I am a big dork. We were watching the sunset the last night of Maui when I drew in the sand. I wanted something interesting for my scrapbooking, so I drew the above picture. This was our first anniversary trip. It is unbelievable that it has already been a year (over a year now as I type). Time has flown so fast. It seems like only yesterday we went on our first date (which was almost four years ago). My love for him has grown, and will never stop.
FOREVER!

Picture perfect
This is my wonderful husband taking a picture of the gorgeous surroundings on Maui. He is very much into photography, which is probably why I want to get better in my photography. I love him so very much, more than he will ever realize. Even when problems arise, I know he will always be there for me, as I am for him. I am incredibly lucky to have him as my husband. My love for him will never stop. I love you, Cesar!

Pretty flower
During our trip, I took numerous flower pictures. This is one of my favorites. The flowers of Hawaii lend themselves so well to pictures. Also during this trip, I began playing around with my settings, straying away from the automatic setting. My husband was making fun of me because I kept changing settings and taking a picture of the same waterfall in the hotel. I was having fun learning about the numbers. Despite not posting every day, I have been taking many more pictures than I have in the past and I finally feel like I am growing in my picture taking abilities.

Gorgeous balcony view
This was the view from our balcony in Maui. It was beautiful every morning and the sunset at night was heavenly. My husband did a wonderful job at booking our vacation; he did all the work (it is easier for him) and I couldn't have been happier.

A promise
The next few pictures were taking while we were on vacation in Maui. This rainbow was the most beautiful, brightest, fattest rainbow I had ever seen in my life. We were driving back from our day-long trip to Hana and the southeast side of Maui and I took this picture out the window of the car. I could hardly believe how amazingly beautiful it was. God sure gave us a wonderful scene on that drive (and another one when we got back to Lahaina). I am very excited that we saw many rainbows this trip because our first trip to Hawaii last year for our honeymoon was lacking rainbows from the Rainbow State. Our first anniversary trip was a successful one in catching rainbows.
